When I woke up today I didn’t think I would have the energy to do much at all.. It’s been a stressful week for me and mentally I’ve felt tired and down. All of my training sessions have been tough to handle and I also sensed a cold coming on. But happy to say, todays climbing was inspiring and fun! We went to Anneberg, just a couple of miles from our apartment in Nacka. The crag has some really hard routes on sharp and tiny holds, but for some reason I tend to like them. Since I stopped rope climbing I haven’t been there to work on my projects but now I picked up where I left off about two years ago and it felt pretty good, I am both stronger and more mentally comfortable now. It’s a great feeling to go for the lead without even thinking about fear of falling, I have stretched my comfort zone a great deal and I am enjoying it!
Pictures below of me and Anders working the route ”Crimp it” 7c/5.12d. A route with two hard moves over just a couple of meters, making it more like a boulder problem. It’s powerful and harder if you are short like me but I felt really strong when working the route today compared to two years ago. It’s a perfect project for the fall, close to home!
